It said that there is no deputation provision in the present recruitment rules and as such the appointment of six Inspectors in Tax and Excise department has discouraged the established statutory laws of the state. The appointments on deputy basis had already been challenged in the court and the judgment is still awaited, the organization said and urged the concerned authority revoke the appointments on deputation basis within one week. It threatens to launch movement against the authority if their demand is not fulfilled.

Forest official raids market
ITANAGAR, May 30: The Department of Forest today raided Pasighat Market to check selling of wild life.
DFO (Wildlife) T. Mize made it clear to the vendors not to indulge in selling and buying of wild animal. He warned of strict action if anyone violated the orders.
He further appealed one and all, especially the literate and educated section of the society to discourage killing and selling of wild animals by abstaining from buying. There will be more raids to apprehend offenders in the town, Mize warned.
Declare results
ITANAGAR, May 30: Arunachal Pradesh Diploma Engineers Association (APDEA) Unemployed wing has criticized the PWD authority for not declaring the results of the written examination which was held on January 8 last for JE posts.
It appealed the authorities to declare the results at the earliest.
The Association further alleged that RR rules were violated in selection of JEs in WRD. It said the department concerned advertised for 10 JE posts only, but 75 candidates were selected during written examination held on February 20.
Epa’s death mourned
ITANAGAR, May 30: Central Nyedar Namlo (CNN) and Nyedar Namlo Doimukh unit condoled the death of Tana Epa, who died on May 27 after a prolonged illness.
Epa was one of the senior founder members of the Namlo movement.
While remembering his contribution towards the society and state, the CNN and Namlo unit described Epa’s death as an irreparable loss to the society.
The vacuum created with his death would be difficult to fill up, they said in a condolence message.

ITANAGAR, May 30: The 21st annual conference of All Tekang Students Union (ATSU) under Yagrung circle of East Siang District began today.

Siram, orgs mourns principal’s death
ITANAGAR, May 30: Education Minister Bosiram Siram mourned the death of Bamin Tanii, Principal, Govt. H. S school, Ziro.
“I am deeply shocked to hear the sudden and untimely demise of Tanii,” Siram, in his condolence message to the bereaved family member said.
“Tanii was an efficient and dedicated officer. In his death the department has lost one of its most outstanding officers. The vacuum created with his death will be very difficult to fill up,” the message said and added that his contributions towards the education department will be remembered forever.
Tanii was also closely associated with various social activities and worked selflessly till his last breath, Siram said and prayed to almighty to give enough courage and strength to his family to bear the irreparable loss.
Apatani Teachers’ Welfare Forum (ATWF) and Apatani Youth Association (AYA) have expressed deep shock at the demise of Bamin Tanii, who died at Vellore CMC on May 27.
Born at Bamin village in 1968, Late Tanii was a man of amiable nature, who always extended helping hand to others. With the death of Tanii, the Forum lost a good human being.
The demise of Tanii is an irreparable loss for students and the whole Apatani community. He was a capable administrator and good friend of the students, said the Association in a condolence message.
The Association urged younger generation of Apatani community, especially the teachers to emulate the good qualities of Late Tanii.

Determined to promote peace, unity and integrity, the cyclist is planning now to accomplish his mission by visiting Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gao, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and other remaining states and if possible Pakistan and Bangladesh in neighbourhood. He showered praises to the police and administration who extended helping hand in the time of need.
Interacting with this daily, Masih said that “youths are the backbone of society and the Nation; they should not be lured by the unproductive activities and always concentrate in innovative and creative ideas for the benefit of nation.” He, however, expressed anguish over the uncontrolled price rise in almost all the essential commodities.
“The common people are suffering a lot due to ineffective policy and inept handling of financial matters by the authorities in the country,” he said.
Miao Mini Zoo gets recognition

MIAO, May 30: Zoo Authority of India has provisionally granted recognition to Mini Zoo, Miao under Section 38 H of the Wildlife Protection Act for a period up to October 31, 2014 subject to compliance with some directives.
This was informed by Conservator of Forest and Field Director (Project Tiger) Namdapha National Park.
Zoo Authority also emphasized on submission of Master Plan for alternate site of zoo with ample provisions for the animals.
The existing Mini Zoo area is small and does not fulfill the laid down norms of a Mini Zoo. The alternate site is therefore urgently required so that Master Plan for Mini Zoo can be prepared and submitted to the Zoo Authority of India (ZAI), officials said.
The provisional recognition of Mini Zoo by ZAI is a welcome move. The animals in the zoo are in pathetic condition as the area is too small and it needs urgent shifting to a safer and hygienic site, far from the township.
To arrive at a final solution, the Field Director has called a meeting on June 5 where representatives from different sections of society have been invited. The Singpho Development Society has welcomed the recognition and has assured every support in finding a suitable land for the puspose.

ITANAGAR, May 30: Following reports of crop (paddy) damage by White Backed Plant Hopper (WBPH) in paddy fields of various villages of Upper Subansiri, a three days campaign cum demonstration programme on management of the insect was organized for the farmers by the DAO, Daporijo in association with technical staff of KVK, Upper Subansiri.
Paddy fields of villages Sippi, Dumporijo and Ligu, which are considered rice belts of the district, have reportedly been affected by outbreak of the insects.
The technical team headed by Dusa Lida (DAO, Daporijo) along with ADOs Kenpi Lollen, Rukdam Jeram, Dr. W. Purnima Devi, Agriculture Field assistants D.Pandit, T.Soki, D. Karbi and subject matter specialists from KVK visited the various affected rice fields and demonstrated the use and application of recommended pesticides.
During the programme, the farmers were explained about the possible causes of the outbreak, nature of damage, consequences of the infestation and management measures through Integrated Pest Management system.
D.Lida, further appealed to the farmers to keep constant touch with the Agriculture Department and the KVK so that the menace of pest infestation could be managed effectively. He also assured the farmers that sufficient pesticides would be made available at the departmental store as early as possible. Considering the intensity of the pest outbreak and plight of the farmers, pesticides were distributed to the farmers at the end of the campaign.
Apex Bank signs MoA with NABARD on core banking solution
ITANAGAR, May 30: A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) has been signed between NABARD, Arunachal Regional Office, Itanagar and Arunachal Pradesh State Cooperative Apex Bank Ltd; Naharlagun for implementation of Core Banking Solution (CBS) in the bank today.
The NABARD will extend technical support and selection of vendor for successful implantation of CBS in all the 32 branches and Head Office of the bank within December 31, 2012.
After computerization of bank branches, the bank will open extension counters in the unbanked blocks to extend banking services to unreached areas and section of people.

The campaign for universal ratification of the Optional Protocols to the Convention on the Rights of the Child launched in May 2010 provides guidance for States in their efforts to prohibit and prevent sexual violence and exploitation of children and the prosecution of perpetrators.
It also protects children from sale or trafficking for purposes such as forced labour, illegal adoption or organ donation.
The Protocol on the Involvement of Children in Armed Conflict prohibits the use of children in hostilities.
It urges all States to set their minimum age of conscription at I8 years and prohibits the recruitment by armed groups of children under the age of 18.
So far, twenty additional countries have ratified the optional protocol on the sale of children, child prostitution and pornography, while 15 States have become parties to the optional protocol on children in armed conflict since the launch of the campaign.

I would like to highlight the indispensable choice faced by the people of the foothills
living in the Arunachal-
Our hope was that one fine day Arunachal would hearten a new strategy for the comrades
who have been struggling out-
The fact that makes it very unfortunate is that time and again any policy for our upliftment is arrogated by a torrent of ridicule and politics from within the people of Arunachal who have no concern for our sweat whatsoever.
We have realised that we have ended up fighting a frontier in the either side! Under the circumstances, who shall we consider as friends and who the foe? Unable to identify our foes within, the choice that we are offered to is to befriend the perceptible adversary and put an end to the unending futile struggle for a nation that was never ours!
Why sacrifice our lives for the countryside that never acknowledges our presence?
The world is a global village now. And fortunate of being the citizens of country
known as India recognised by the world, we have assumed that there is no such thing

The Allopathic doctorsworking under NRHM on contractual basis have been trying to get an appointment with you but failed miserably. We understand you are a busy man and doing very good for our state. So ,we are trying to reach you through this letter. Hope our grievances are well received.

have been regularized vide order no. MDEV-
And that shockingly we have been left out of that list. Some of the doctors who have
been regularised are even junior to us in the date of joining the jobs. The reason
for which is not known to us. We are suspecting foul play. We had approached the
Minister and the Secretary, Health and Family welfare. Though they had assured us
verbally on several occasions and the Minister even recommended in written, but it
turns out that the remaining vacancies numbering 50 have been advertised through
the APPSC for open competition vide No.PSC-
Since we are lone doctors posted at our respective medical setups in remote locations, we are bound to serve the public 24x7 even after duty hours for attending to medical emergencies. So we are practically left with very little time to study for competitive exams. It should be understood that seeing our plight, the future generation of young doctors will be deterred from serving in remote places in contract.
Through this letter we would also like to question the APDA demand for stopping departmental
regularization atleast at this moment. Because ,as per their demand we are left no
where. We are twelve doctors currently left under NRHM. Do they want us to quit NRHM
and sit for the preparation? Should we not be encouraged and awarded for our willingness
to work in places where very few would like to serve. This should be understood that
it is also for this lack of willingness to work in remote rural areas that, the GOI
is contemplating introducing Bachelor of Rural Medicine as a course which is being
opposed vehemently by the medical fraternity. Some of us have already served 3-

Nestled in beautiful hill top of Itanagar, the Siddhart Vihar Monastery is one of the most beautiful and sacred place of worship. People throng there not only for worship but due to lack of good family recreational park.
But the worrying factor is that the beautiful place has become a favourite hunt of alcoholic and drug abusers and practice ground for dare devil youths to perform acrobatic stunts on their bikes. Echoing of screeching sound disrupt the tranquillity of the monastery. Infused with alcohol, youths don’t hesitate to eve tease young girls.
Therefore it is my earnest request to capital administration to immediately take steps to control the nuisances and take precaution to prevent any untoward incident in this sacred place.
